# Report-production check

Build n Bloom | Working document

Use one recent completed paid engagement. No confidential client files are needed for a first conversation. This check does not establish savings or diagnose your firm.

1. Paid output: report type, recipient, frequency, number of variants and deadline.
2. Repeated structure: what stays the same; what changes by client, market or period.
3. Inputs: sources, formats, permissions, corrections and source-change handling.
4. Rules: definitions, calculations, denominators, mappings and responsible specialist.
5. Complete effort: preparation, review, corrections, administration and maintenance. Separate measured effort from estimates.
6. Alternatives: current software, simpler method, standard product and vendor implementation service.
7. Acceptance: ordinary inputs, missing values, changed sources, output checks and approval owner.
8. Economics: setup and ongoing cost, adoption burden and what useful capacity would actually be used for.
