Case rights and a reusable methodThe rights owner decides whether redacted case material may become a versioned method note. Each new use needs a rights and relevance check. Example design using fictional work records.Completed case → safe reusable method
WHAT GOES IN

A completed case, source permissions and eight fictional method cards.

WHAT COMES OUT

A permitted method draft with exclusions and version records, or an explicit non-reuse decision.

WHO DECIDES

The named reviewer approves, returns or stops each step.

THE BRIEF

Keep the permitted method; exclude the client appendix

A fictional completed case contains eight generic method cards and two restricted client appendices. Select how many cards have explicit rights in the synthetic licence register, then inspect redaction, versioning and retrieval for a new case.

Removing a name does not create reuse permission. A repair can exclude a forbidden source; it never grants rights to a restricted appendix or bypasses the next practitioner's review.

Source excerpts and the complete design remain readable below.

02 / OPEN THE SOURCE PACK

Read the records behind the result.

Use these fictional originals to check the number, period, version and permission behind each output. Missing or conflicting evidence remains visible. These are teaching records, not client results.

REUSE-CLOSE1

Fictional close-pack inventory

Synthetic source. Simulation case K-01 closes with eight method cards numbered 01–08 and two client appendices A/B, ten items total. P is the whole-number count of explicitly licensed method cards, from 0 to 8 (default 5). Exactly cards 01 through P have rights in the selected synthetic licence fixture; the other 8 − P lack reuse permission. Both client appendices always forbid reuse. Switching P selects a different invented rights fixture; it grants no actual permission.

Use boundary: Synthetic fixture; private review within this fictional case only.

REUSE-RIGHTS1

Original fictional licence register

Synthetic source. Only generic method cards 01 through P may be redacted and considered for internal method reuse. Remaining method cards and both client appendices must be excluded. Permitted count = P; unlicensed cards = 8 − P; permanently restricted appendices = 2; excluded total = 10 − P. Redaction cannot create a licence.

Use boundary: Synthetic fixture; private review within this fictional case only.

REUSE-RIGHTS-OLD0

Incorrect rights register — exception

Synthetic source. The stale draft proposes cards 01 through P plus appendix A, a total of P + 1 items. Appendix A is forbidden by the original restriction metadata, as is B. There is no waiver. Hold the asset and compare the register with those original restrictions; do not copy appendix contents.

Use boundary: Synthetic fixture; private review within this fictional case only.

REUSE-RIGHTS-REPAIR2

Corrected exclusions — repair evidence

Synthetic source. The correction removes appendix A from the proposed reusable set and keeps B excluded. Only cards 01 through P remain eligible under the original synthetic licences; the other 8 − P cards stay unlicensed. No right changes. Rights and method owners must review the corrected proposed asset.

Use boundary: Synthetic fixture; private review within this fictional case only.

REUSE-APPENDIX-A1

Appendix A — restriction metadata only

Synthetic source. Inventory metadata: fictional client-specific appendix A; reuse is forbidden. Contents are intentionally omitted. Its inclusion in the stale register is the exception under review.

Use boundary: Restriction metadata may be inspected; source contents and cross-client reuse are denied.

REUSE-APPENDIX-B1

Appendix B — restriction metadata only

Synthetic source. Inventory metadata: fictional client-specific appendix B; reuse is forbidden. Contents are intentionally omitted. Neither redaction nor a corrected register grants rights.

Use boundary: Restriction metadata may be inspected; source contents and cross-client reuse are denied.

REUSE-CARD-011

Define the question

Synthetic source. Record the decision, intended reader and the period before looking for evidence. This original fictional card is number 1; it may enter the proposed asset only when 1 ≤ P in the selected licence register. Remove its K-01 case label during curation without changing the method.

Use boundary: Conditional internal-method licence in the selected synthetic register; no client content.

REUSE-CARD-021

List the required evidence

Synthetic source. Create one inventory of required records; an absent record stays a named gap. This original fictional card is number 2; it may enter the proposed asset only when 2 ≤ P in the selected licence register. Remove its K-01 case label during curation without changing the method.

Use boundary: Conditional internal-method licence in the selected synthetic register; no client content.

REUSE-CARD-031

Record source versions

Synthetic source. Record source ID, version, period and owner beside each extracted fact. This original fictional card is number 3; it may enter the proposed asset only when 3 ≤ P in the selected licence register. Remove its K-01 case label during curation without changing the method.

Use boundary: Conditional internal-method licence in the selected synthetic register; no client content.

REUSE-CARD-041

Check denominators

Synthetic source. Compare the population, unit and denominator before comparing two rates. This original fictional card is number 4; it may enter the proposed asset only when 4 ≤ P in the selected licence register. Remove its K-01 case label during curation without changing the method.

Use boundary: Conditional internal-method licence in the selected synthetic register; no client content.

REUSE-CARD-051

Show the working

Synthetic source. Retain inputs, formula, units and rounding beside the calculated result. This original fictional card is number 5; it may enter the proposed asset only when 5 ≤ P in the selected licence register. Remove its K-01 case label during curation without changing the method.

Use boundary: Conditional internal-method licence in the selected synthetic register; no client content.

REUSE-CARD-061

Preserve alternatives

Synthetic source. Keep a supported alternative and the condition that would change the conclusion. This original fictional card is number 6; it may enter the proposed asset only when 6 ≤ P in the selected licence register. Remove its K-01 case label during curation without changing the method.

Use boundary: Conditional internal-method licence in the selected synthetic register; no client content.

REUSE-CARD-071

Record the review

Synthetic source. Send the exact draft and original sources to its qualified reviewer. This original fictional card is number 7; it may enter the proposed asset only when 7 ≤ P in the selected licence register. Remove its K-01 case label during curation without changing the method.

Use boundary: Conditional internal-method licence in the selected synthetic register; no client content.

REUSE-CARD-081

Check future use

Synthetic source. Check the new case's rights and relevance before citing a current method. This original fictional card is number 8; it may enter the proposed asset only when 8 ≤ P in the selected licence register. Remove its K-01 case label during curation without changing the method.

Use boundary: Conditional internal-method licence in the selected synthetic register; no client content.

REUSE-METHOD1

Method review and version rule

Synthetic source. A nonempty eligible set becomes draft specimen SIM-METHOD-01 revision 1; zero eligible cards produces an explicit non-reuse record instead. Remove the K-01 case label, preserve the original generic instruction and cite each retained card. Method-owner publication is pending. Simulated creation day is 0, review due day 30 and expiry day 90; remaining life on simulated day 14 is 76 days. A correction or revoked right requires quarantine and an affected-use review.

Use boundary: Synthetic fixture; private review within this fictional case only.

REUSE-NEW-CASE1

New-case access and relevance fixture

Synthetic source. Fictional case K-02 on simulation day 14 has an internal-method access grant for the eligible current cards only. It has no access to K-01 client appendices or unlicensed cards. Check day 14 < expiry day 90, the selected rights register and version; a practitioner must still decide relevance. Returned candidates = P; denied items = 10 − P. No reuse or publication event has occurred.

Use boundary: Synthetic fixture; private review within this fictional case only.

REUSE-RECOVERY1

Method-index interruption fixture

Synthetic source. At Permitted reuse, the fictional method-index read fails. Retain the version, original licence register and denied-item list. Diagnosis may check those metadata and propose a permission-filtered retest. Searching raw client files or ignoring restrictions is not a recovery route; restore and method applicability remain human decisions.

Use boundary: Synthetic fixture; private review within this fictional case only.
